Manuella Epifanio: Student Testimonial

My Journey with Switched On: A Testimony of Growth and Grace: By Manuella Epifanio

I am Manuella Epifanio, a proud graduate of the Switched On curriculum, completed in August 2024 at Logos Christian Academy in Keetmanshoop. Today, I stand on the path to becoming an occupational therapist—a dream born of faith, perseverance, and purpose.

I began my journey with Switched On at the age of fifteen. It was a new and unfamiliar world; I had never worked on a computer before, and in those early days, I faced great difficulty. But everything changed when I reached Grade 10 and encountered a subject that would transform my life—Foundations for Living.

This subject awakened something deep within me. It was more than just a lesson plan—it was a mirror to my soul. Through topics like Godly marriage, the sanctity of life, mental health, and the challenges of our modern world, I found myself seen, heard, and profoundly moved. I fell deeply in love—not only with the Switched On curriculum—but with God Himself.

My academic journey expanded through subjects such as General Science, Biology, and Algebra. I discovered joy in learning, the thrill of research, and the discipline that comes with self-driven education. Switched On taught me responsibility, independence, and the courage to explore various fields with confidence.

This curriculum opened doors I never imagined. At the age of seventeen, I briefly pursued nursing. Though the youngest in the program, I was accepted because of the strength and credibility of my education. In a class of older, more experienced students, I placed third overall—a testament to the foundation Switched On gave me.

I look back now with deep gratitude. Were it not for the grace of God, I would not be where I am today. His hand guided me through every struggle, every triumph. And if given the chance, I would choose this journey again and again. Switched On didn’t just shape my education—it shaped the woman I have become.

To anyone reading this: I believe in you. You are capable. You are chosen. Trust in God with all your heart, and let Him direct your steps. Embrace the journey, no matter how difficult. You are not alone.

Good luck—and may the peace and presence of God go with you always.
