My name is Zachary Paterson, and I graduated from Bournemouth Christian School, UK in 2022. I have now completed my degree and graduated from the University of Kent studying Ancient, Medieval, and Modern History. I found the ability to work at my own pace – however fast or slow that may be – to be a very pleasant experience: it meant I didn’t feel like I was wasting time or that I had to move on without truly grasping a subject.
Having a Christian Curriculum, and by extension the Christian environment, was a definite plus – I doubt I would have gone into the University world with a faith as strong as I have if said faith was being attacked every day from my school. The self-guided research I did for projects has proven to be good practice for writing essays and doing other assignments at university, and the experience of managing my own timetable at school has helped to prepare me for doing the same on a larger scale now.
