Kyle Vlotman: Student Testimony

My experience at SwitchedOn Education and Active Home Education Institute was a good one filled with many skills and principles that I learned along my journey. Strictly from an educational viewpoint, the high academic standard prepared me well for university life and all the challenges that come with it.

The encouragement of an independent work ethic and thinking, made my transition into university very easy. Many of my fellow students at university struggled with setting goals for themselves, motivating themselves without a teacher pushing them, or creative and independent thinking. However, all these skills and principles were already taught to me while at SwitchedOn Education and Active Home Education Institute. The school’s reputation and high standard of education reflected when leaving helped me get into a university without issues.

I am grateful to all the teachers and staff for being so incredibly patient, invested, and supportive throughout my school journey. Their consistent check-ins and encouragement made me feel that I could achieve anything I put my mind to with the right amount of effort and diligence. On graduating with the American High School Diploma, I started studying Mechanical Engineering at Curtin University. I plan to immediately use the knowledge I acquire here to better people’s lives through technology and engineering.
